My role for the website is to do the layout and design of the website,

In this session I have started the website, I have added features like social media links and also added a menu bar at the top of the page. I have also found out how to add a moving background and I have had a thought to add a short clip of the film as the background on some pages.

I also have found out how to make the title of the page animate, and bounce when you open the page, I thought this would be good becuse it is eye-catching and " the word it is the title of the film.















in this lesson I change the background, I also learned how to change the colors, to match the theme that Cameron wanted which was black and yellow.

Movie Websites.

jumanji 

-The logo beats with the music - it brings the attention to the title of the film.

-There are some games and interactive things on the website, this is to invite children to go to the page, it will also make the children want to see the film.

-It has a gallery of still images, this could entice the audience to want to see the film because it could reveal things about the film.

-jumanji has a "get to know the avatars" section on the website, this is so that the audience can get to know the characters and have a little understanding of what Jumanji is about and also promote the film.



Fantastic Beasts and where to find them.
there is a little bit of animation on the fantastic beasts and where to find them webpage, this is the smoke behind the title.

every time that you go to a new section it shows a little clip of the film, this is to make the audience interested in the film and want to see it. I really like this and want to use it on my website.

There is a story section, this is to give the audience more information about the story, and also to make them want to see the film.






Early man

the website has a lot of different film clips on the website, this it so takes the audiences attention and watches little scenes from the film, this is to add the audiences interest and to make people want to see the film.


there are lots of interactive things to do on the site, this is because the film is based on children, and with the interactive things like games it will bring more people to the website.

there is a get to know the characters, this is so that people can get to know the story a little bit more and also some people may find it interesting to get to now the characters before they watch the film. 


Dead pool 2
The dead pool website is a lot more boring and simple compared to the other websites, there is no animation or videos that load when open, this is because the audience is based for an older generation, so videos and games are not needed.






Dunkirk

The Dunkirk website starts f with a trailer playing when you open the website. I like this and want to use it on our website because I feel that it makes people more interested in the film.

one very unique feature of the dunker's website s that there is a virtual reality video, with is about the film Dunkirk, I think this is  a very good idea because it will attract more people because of this feature,

There is an interactive feature that is a timeline of the events that happened at Dunkirk, this is a good idea since this film is a big part of history, this is good because it can allow people to learn more about the event that happened.



The darkest hour

when you open the website it comes to a "get tickets" page, I think that this is a good and bad idea, its good bequest I can lead to people wanting to buy tickets, however, it is bad because people may want to look at the film before they buy tickets.

there is also clips of the film that plays behind the text on the homepage, this is to give a small teaser of the film to also gain interest for the audience and also so the audience can see what the film is about.



Wonder woman

- the website opens up with a trailer playing, this is so that it can gain interest in film for the audience that is going on to the website, it is also there to promote the Film.

-there is also music which is playing in the background as well, which is also a unique feature since very few websites have this feature.

-there is a get to know the characters, what I found unusual about this is that not only does it have the characters from the film, it also has all of the other dc characters, this is a good idea because it will make the audience aware of other movie's.





Spiderman Homecoming


-when you open the page there is a little animation, that is spiderman moving on to the page, I also saw that when you scroll down the page the background stays the same and the images move above the background, I also thought this was simple yet effective.

-since this film is not in cinemas anymore, there is a section where you can buy the film, this has different options like buying it online, or getting a hard copy of the film.






Get out 


-when you go on the website, the first page that loads up is where you can get tickets, this is a strategy/feacher that has been used befor on other websites, this can be a advantage becuse people may just want to quickly by tickets and not have to find there way around the website.

like another website there is also snipets of the film playing behnd the text, this is to also give the audence a sneek preview of the film, i really like this feacher anf think it would be a good idea to use on our website.








IT

- like other website, when you go on the website a trailer of the film is played, i like this because of some one wants to see the film and hasn't seen a trailer then it is right there for them when they go on the website.

- something that is completely diffrent is that there are photos from the film, that people can like, and share on social media sites, and this is something that i have not seen before on other websites, however this is a good idea because if more people post these photos then it will add awareness for the film.




Task 4

The word

Target audience age - 14-18


comedy horror in a sweeded style to add to the comedy

1.scary movie, haunted house the target audience is looking for a scary/comedy film.

2. the type of content that they view is funny action and horror, and we will try to make our film similar to this.

3. we are going to have a funny approach to the film we will be doing this by filming in a sweeded way. we will be using figures and small modules to create this effect

4.
we will be publishing it on social network sites like facebook, and then media sharing sites like youtube and instagram

5 we will publish content twice a week on content about the film to promote and also make awareness of the film.

TASK 3: Evaluate your findings from Tasks 1 & 2 (500-800 words)

From your findings in Task 1 and Task 2 on your blog write a minimum of 500 - maximum 800-word comparison/evaluation on how the social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Snap-chat are used by audiences and institutions to access and deliver specific information. 


The research that I found out from task one was the people use social media for different reasons, this can be to keep in contact with friends and family, looking up news and also for entertainment. From my research, I found that 60% of the people that answered the survey said that Snapchat was there favorite social media site and Instagram coming as the second most favorite site. I also found out that people use different social media sites so that they can talk to friends and look at followers photos.

From the research that I have done, I found that film reviewer sites often post after the film is released with a review of the film, this is posted on Twitter on one account called "Rotten Tomatoes" this page on twitter post reviews of the films, this can also help to gain viewers because if the film has a good review then people will want to see it however if it is a bad review and it got a bad review then not many people will want to see the film becuse it has a bad review, and this can have an infulence on whether the audence sees the film or dosn't. 

From the research of movie websites, I found that most if not all of the websites use Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to post and promote their film. I found that they post quite frequently before the film is released so that they can promote the film and get a bigger audience for the film, its also so that they can add awareness to the film and again get a bigger audience to see the film. 

From the research I found that Twitter is the most popular for promoting a film, this is because I found that they would post a tweet nearly every day about the film, and because of the feature of people being able to retweet a post it would gain a bigger audience due to people retweeting and sharing the posts and then there friends/followers being able to see it. 

I have also found that film companies use social media platforms to gain a bigger target audience and to get more people interested in the films. As I have mentioned before the websites post on social media sites often to get the message out about the new film that is being released, they will often post something every day where people can repost or share with friends and family, they will do this if they are interested in the film and this then leads to there friends and family seeing that and then they will know about the film. 

From the research that I have done, I also found out that the audience will post things about the film so that friends and family can see it, this will gain awareness and this is the same with the reviewing pages . However, the film companies use social media platform so that they can promote their film and also gain awareness.

Overall I found this research fairly useful because I found out that most people my age (16-18) use Snapchat and Instagram. This will be useful for when making the film and thinking of where to advertise the movie on social media sites, with this if we want to attract an age range around the ages of 16-17 then we should advertise it on Snapchat and Instagram. I also found it very useful because I have found out how the big film companies use social media to promote their film.
